The uppers on these shoes have lasted very well for a couple years and the sole has not squashed down so they are still very shock absorbent....but....within a month theTarantulum softer grippier rubber on the sole stated to come off in chunks around the edges...not that it mattered much to me but something to note for such a pricy shoe...I still wear them and like them, they laster better than most from Mark's

    Very poor hiking shoe

This shoe is the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. I walk daily and now usually cut my walk short as my feet are aching. I even spent extra money changing out the insoles (on an almost new shoe) to a Dr. Scholl's brand which made it a bit better but not much. This shoe is over-priced and shouldn't be classed as a hiking shoe. Additionally, the warranty is void if you wear them outdoors! Where should one hike? Poor value for the price.
