I hunted these down again after buying a pair last winter! they last forever and the soles grip on any surface with their imbedded crystals. They are the perfect winter slip on but are comfortable year round. I did have the same issue with the new ones that I had with the last pair which was chewing up the skin on my ankles during the break in period but that only takes about a week with daily wear. I still have my old pair that have held together remarkably well,The only issue with them is the inner padding isn’t as soft as it was new but that’s easily remedied with an insert. They look good with anything as well. Buy them,buy them,buy them, you won’t be disappointed!

A: Thank you for your question! Yes, these shoes are equipped with our ICEFX outsoles. ICEFX has an innovative tread design to provide greater surface contact in the heel strike zone and forefoot to achieve an anti-slip outsole. This style has both Icelandic grip and Green Diamond, Please be aware though that due to the Green Diamond compound in the outsole there is a chance you may damage your flooring if the shoes are worn inside.

Q: How about in slushy snow? Does it get wet? I know it is leather. How do you protect this from getting wet?

A: By my experience, leather is naturally waterproof. The shoe will be wet. Whether it leaks, depend on how it is made. Since it is melted snow, you walk you splash. Because it is low cut, your socks will get wet. The solution is to buy a boot style cut. The slushier your condition, the deeper the snow, the higher the boot should be. Hope this helps.
