I'm a skinny guy ok, and when I know I have this and the matching thermal long johns on, I know I'll be good down to -25/30C no problem. Of course I have to have the correct mid and outer layers, but the point is that you can feel these lock in the heat, and once you get moving you'll be surprised. Definitely not recommended for spring temps, I'd say 0C/freezing and below, otherwise your chances of sweating are quite high from my experiences. Happily went and bought more after seeing the difference with the first shirt, and I was doing on avg 10hr days outside in avg of -15/20C for a few weeks. The shirt made it bearable.
