I may pick up another pair of these and put them away. They are fantastic. I live on a seasonal road, we had snow recently and now light rain, so my road is now ice with a small coating of water. Zero slippage.

IceFX is better than I expected

Very warm boots great for Winnipeg winters. Worn with wool socks and needed at least two sizes larger, Quite heavy and comfortable. IceFX works great on ice as well as wet ice.

The Revelstoke scored really well on "Rate my Treads" for Grip on Wet and Dry Ice and my experiences confirm that.
Been wearing these for a month now. This boot is rugged, Waterproof, and protects you on most terrains including wet and dry Ice. The deep lugs and grippy soles handle deep snow and muddy conditions no problem. The ICEFX technology isn't a gimmick. It works and I feel safe in them.
Materials are good quality. The boot has a rugged feel.
In terms of Comfort, I've worn more comfortable boots in my lifetime. These are around average. I have skinny feet and even I found the boot is far more narrow than expected. Once I sized up, that problem was resolved so make sure you buy 1 size larger than your normal boot size. For those with wide feet, this boot might present some sizing issues.
In terms of warmth, this boot is warmer on my feet than my "Palladiums" which are just standard stylish city boots. Wearing double socks (It's even better if one of those sock pairs is Thick Winter Socks) helps with added warmth AND comfort. Secure the laces for stability.
Good for work. Good for shoveling snow or other household tasks.

Q: How long does the ICEFX last on the soles? I bought a pair two years ago and the Quartz or whatever was embedded wore off the first winter,

A: Thank you for reaching out. It really depends on the frequency you wear the boots and in what conditions they are worn. If they are worn daily on rough surfaces such as concrete where there isn't any snow or ice the rubber and quartz may wear away quicker than if they are only worn in winter conditions.
