WindRiver Women's Hyper Dri and UPF Zip Off Pants

I got these pants on sale to go hiking with, and I'm so glad I did! I've always wanted zip-off pants and these pants hit every feature that I was looking for. I felt I was able to wear them comfortably in a variety of temperatures (a windy 12° and warm 23°) because of their breathability and cinching hem capabilities (even without zipping them off into shorts when hot). I've worn them in heavy rain and they were more waterproof than my rain jacket, water rolled right off (although the DWR might need to be replaced eventually?). The inner waist cinching is really useful if you are in between sizes. I prefer a wider/looser fit around my legs so I usually need cinching at the waist. These pants fit great and are very comfortable, they even provided me the mobility/stretch to climb in them (they even have a little strap with a D-ring in the back that you could use for a brush, carabiner, or chalk bag!). For some reason, I did find the shorts didn't look as good, maybe the length is a little awkward ? they just look more "nerdy" than I'd like. But it's not something I care about so much when these pants have all the features I want. Also be careful when re-zipping the pants on, it can get a little confusing to figure out which part goes with what. All of the pockets are really roomy and although I would've liked for more zippered pockets, I feel secure in the 2 front drop-style pockets. As someone who often wears cotton pants and sweats a lot, the breathability that these pants bring are a game changer for me, I wish I could buy these in multiple colours. They really do wick sweat away. However, they are not completely odour-free, but that is expected of this kind of synthetic material after hiking in them all day. It wasn't very noticeable, but something I would be mindful of if I were to wear them days on end without washing (like for camping). All in all, I'm very happy with these pants and I'm so glad I got them; I'm super impressed by the technology and I'll look for similar features in other WindRiver products!

These pants ft and feel great. The zip off is in the perfect spot for me so the shorts also look and feel great.i bought them to replace my wind river zip offs that I’ve had for 5 years. In the past 5 years I’ve brought these with me on ever trip I’ve taken due to their versatility and comfort. Wearing these new ones it is obvious they have enhanced the original design and fabric.

True to size and on sale!

They are large for their size. I had ordered Size 6, but I find them quite loose and therefore would probably fit someone needing one size up. Quality seems good. Haven't used them hiking yet. Like the fact that the could be converted to shorts due to the zipper located above the knees. I would recommend them.

Bought first pair a few months ago and like so much I bought a second pair. Have been looking for zip off pants for women for several years so very happy Mark’s now has them. Great quality, very comfortable.

This is actually a great value product overall. I find Marks house brand products typically well made, and this is no exception. I appreciated the cargo pockets, but beware that only one of the two cargo pockets has a zipper. The zip off option is fantastic for traveling. I appreciated the cinch option at the leg opening. I am 5'-4" with longer legs for my height, and although the pants probably wouldn't drag on the floor with shoes on, I can be sure by just cinching the leg opening. I found the waist probably a bit generous in size, but I loved the drawstring inside AND the elastic back waistband which allows you to adjust for comfort. This is a small design issue but I felt the gap was too large between the start and end of the zipper where the shorts join the pant leg, leaving what I think is a bigger "hole" than desirable. Although I haven't tested these features, the water repellency, UPF protection, and odour-resistant fabric are also fantastic features at this price point. Overall this item is a must-buy, considering the cost of comparable zip-off pants from outdoor brands.
