Have not walked many hours in them yet but the short walks have been comfortable so far. They feel a bit snug but they don't hurt. I hardly tighten them.I feel quite safe on snow and ice. I'm still cautious on ice though. Laces are bit short. I bought a size 8. They are on the smaller side.

Q: Just curious as to how long the ice fx sole lasts.. do they wear down with time?

A: Thank you for reaching out. In short, yes, the Icefx outsoles do wear down with time, as all outsoles do. This specific product has our Green Diamond technology where the rubber is impregnated with a durable, abrasive synthetic quartz. As the rubber wears, a new layer of quartz is exposed. Regarding how long it takes to wear away, it really depends on how often they are worn and in what conditions.
