Snug fit (but not small), which helps with sealing the ear muffs around the ears. I bought a pair about 10 years ago, and recently decided to buy another pair. I was able to test-fit a number of different styles and makes of ear muffs, and these WorkHorse Noise Cancelling Ear Muffs came out on top ... and were a great value.

These ear muffs are a quality product, much better than the cheap versions I have been using. They are more effective cutting down noise and are more secure on my head than the others. They are a bit more comfortable but still bother my left ear, although they are well padded. Probably my problem rather than the product. For the price a very good deal.

Unfortunately, had to return these because they're very tight and my head is not wide. I can keep them on for a few minutes but that's about it, I heard my blood pumping and there's just too much pressure around the ear.
They do reduce the noise by a lot. They're huge, like all other similar ones. They just need more adjustment features.
