Mark’s has teamed up with Goodwill to expand the in-store denim takeback program to Ontario! Starting August 04, 2025, in addition to Alberta, Triangle Rewards members* can drop off any brand of pre-loved denim at participating Mark’s stores in Ontario and receive $5 off a new pair of jeans or a jean jacket priced at $50 or more. This initiative helps reduce denim waste and supports Goodwill's mission. Trade-ins are subject to conditions. See here for details*.
Participants must be Triangle Rewards members to redeem the discount at the time of trade-in. Not a Triangle Rewards member? Sign up for free here or get one of our employees to sign you up when you redeem the promo.
At this time, offer is exclusive to Triangle Rewards members and must be redeemed at the time of trade-in.
Bring your denim apparel (see Prohibited Items for more information on qualifying items) to a participating Mark’s store. See a cashier and they will show you a collection box to drop your items off. Then, browse our in-store assortment and pick out your next jean bottoms or jacket to purchase! When you are ready to check-out, let our cashier know you have donated to redeem your offer. If you currently are not a Triangle Rewards member, sign up before purchasing or ask our associate to help you.

Q: How does the trade-in program work?
A: Starting August 04, 2025, bring your denim apparel (see Prohibited Items for what is accepted and what is not) to a participating Mark’s store in Ontario or Alberta. Pick out your next pair of jeans or jean jacket from our in-store assortment. Let the cashier know that you are donating your clothing items today. After dropping your pre-loved items into the collection box at the check-out, you will receive $5 off towards your next pair of jeans or jean jacket, minimum value of $50 or more (pre-tax).
Q: If I do not want to purchase a new item that day, will I be able to donate my clothes?
A: Yes, you can still donate! But you will be forfeiting the $5 discount offer on a new pair of jeans or jean jacket. Please see Prohibited Items for what is accepted and what is not.
Q: If I don’t see the items I want in-store and still want to receive the discount, what can I do?
A: Our cashier can order the item you want and apply the discount towards your purchase for you in-store!
Q: If I do not want to purchase a new item today, can I save the discount for another day?
A: Unfortunately, at this time, discount must be redeemed at the same time of trade-in.
Q: The item I want to donate is not on the list, what can I do?
A: At this time, we are only able to accept items according to our Trade-in Guidelines.
Q: Can I mail my items to the store for trade-in?
A: Unfortunately, we are not accepting trade-in items through mail at this time.
Q: I don’t see my store on the list, does that mean I cannot participate in the trade-in?
A: We are expanding our program very soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, please donate your items at your charity of choice.
Q: When will this run until?
A: Starting August 04, 2025, you will be able to participate in all Mark’s stores in Ontario and Alberta except for the stores mentioned above until further notice. Stay tuned for updates on our program expansion!
Q: What will Goodwill do with my donation?
A: Goodwill will resell your pre-loved items in-store and repurpose unsold items into new products. What is left will be recycled, keeping textiles out of the landfills. Your donations will support Goodwill in providing jobs with real work experience, a living wage and benefits, while helping to address barriers to employment.
