Comfortable but not very durable

The boots are good, but they don’t resist cuts very well. While working, I accidentally hit a nail, and it completely tore the boot open, all the way to my foot. If your job involves a lot of metal objects that could cut you, these are not the best option. Otherwise, they will withstand everything—extreme cold and normal impacts.

Great boots, no break in.

These boots are awesome! There's no break in period to them at all. I burn through boots very quickly at work, sometimes they don't even last 6 months. But these boots hold up the best.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Q: I realize that these are marketed as "winter boots", but would they be suitable for all year use as well without sweltering my feet? As I currently use Baffin "Icebear(winter graded)" boots and can no longer get the size needed for replacement.

  • A: They're terrible in summer. Pretty much made of neoprene, it's like a wet suit for your feet. They're great in the winter but they reach a new level of stink in the summer

Q: I see some order the “right” size and then complain they cannot get the boots on.  I have a high instep - I can squeeze on a pair of Blundstones but they hurt because the seam on the instep is too tight and won’t stretch.  Will these fit a high instep?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, These boots are built on a generous last with seams placed in non-irritating locations. While a high instep is always a challenge in pull on boots, these are made with a generous fit. Assuming the fit is proper, these boots should serve you well.

Q: How do these fair in a high walking job, where there are many many steps taken? will the inside survive 14+ hours of walking & movement daily?

1 Answer
  • A: These boots are built with both comfort and durability in mind. The most common failure related to walking in wellington boots is liner tears and separations. These are usually related to improper fit. If properly fitted to be worn without heel slip, these boots are designed to give performance that is just what you’re looking for.
