The sizes run big so I'd recommend getting a size smaller, also the shirt is really thick

Way Too Large!

I ordered the same shirt in the same size large/regular as I've been wearing for years and they were so much larger that I think a 300# man could fit in them. I realized after the 5 shirts came back from the laundry I missed the fine print. Apparently large/regular has been replaced with large/loose. Too late to return as I sent these 5 new shirts straight to the laundry without trying them on first. My bad.

Order a size or two down

I have been wearing these shirts for 10 years. I am 5ft 91/2, 165 lbs. I wear a size small and its still big and long.

Order next size smaller

The material and construction of the shirt is great. They are a least a whole size bigger than what you would expect. Carhart sizing generally gives a guy room to move. This one however has gone to far. I'm 6'2" and 250lbs and generally struggle with sleeve length being too short. This shirt will almost go around me twice and the sleeves (unbuttoned) are almost to my finger tips. We had the embroidered so there is no returning them.

Excellent fit, material is amazing. Husband wears them while out working with drilling crews.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He received it today and tried it on. So far, it's just what he wanted. We will see how well it performs once he gets a chance to wear it while welding.

Sleeves way too short!

After first wash the sleeves shrink up way too short. I were a large tall but got an xlt to try and avoid this issue but now I just have real short sleeves and big baggy mid section. Probably will be throwing away or giving away.

I had worn these shirts on the job for years so when I retired from my job I continue to enjoy wearing them. They are durable and comfortable.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Is the Carhartt flame resistant shirts, tee shirts, pullovers and pants suitable for welders?  Welding daily  and wondered how they stand up to the constant sparks when welding.

1 Answer
  • A: Carhartt Flame-Resistant Clothing will protect better than 100% cotton or synthetic garments, because the FR fabric is self-extinguishing. However, flame-resistant clothing is susceptible to holes and fabric burns created by sparks and metal debris generated by activities such as welding.
