This heavyweight, hooded sweatshirt has a zip front for fast layering. It's made of 13-ounce, 80% cotton and 20% polyester fabric and has a Rain Defender durable water-repellent finish. It's designed with spandex-reinforced rib-knit cuffs and waistband to keep the cold out. There's an attached three-piece jersey-lined hood with draw cord, two front hand-warmer pockets, and an antique-brass front zipper. The right pocket has a security pocket sized for a cell phone. The Carhartt logo is embroidered on the front left pocket.

Best Hoodie you can find

Absolute best hoodie. Got it to replace the one I've had for years. Perfect for all seasons and great in rain.
Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size and gave it to my brother.
So now I still need a new Carhartt hoodie.

Heavyweight nothing. Flimsy and weak. Not insulated. Hood's tiny. I told Carhartt and their response was to try to upsell me on a jacket. If you need a good zip up hoodie, this ain't it.

Mon copain l'adore! Elle est parfaite pour sa taille, car il est très grand/long et assez costaud. Il a toujours du mal à trouver des vêtements qui conviennent à 100%, mais cette veste est vraiment parfaite. Grande qualité à tous les niveaux, et zipper en métal. En plus, elle repousse la pluie. C'est devenu son manteau en presque toutes les saisons! WOW

Flimsy. Small hood. Not lined at all, I guess even this fancy "rain defender" doesn't hold up to just the basic hoodie fifteen years ago. Too thin to wear all day at work. Hood has that new three-panel thing to fit over a hardhat if it has to, but somehow this hood can't even cover the back of my bald head.
Carhartt quality's been slipping since they started focusing up on streetwear over workwear. The fact that you can't even get a decent zip-up hoodie now is case in point. I have two from when they were good. Both made in Mexico. I thought maybe that was the issue, but it looks like things are still made in Mexico... so it's really just a question of design. Carhartt needs to do better here. You want to sell to teenagers who want to be rappers, change the name. You want to still be reliable workwear, you need to live up to that.

Not heavyweight. Not thermal lined. They did the triple stitch on the hood for higher volume but somehow the hood is still tiny. AI keeps rewriting this review and this website is janky. Returning the hoodie, it's trash. My $60 version from 2010 is much, much, much better - and they weren't even making the wider hoods yet. Trash. Flimsy, not meaningfully insulated, tiny hood. Maybe for fashion but dang sure not work.

Great for this time of the year (early Spring) when temperatures go down with light rain. Will also be good for early Fall as temperatures drop.
Also warm enough.

Advertised as "heavyweight" it is nothing more than sweatpants material. I used to have a heavyweight weight carhartt just like this but it was thick and I wore it as a winter coat in wisconsin. This ain't that but it cost the same. Not recommended
