Q: Hi there. What is the best way to protect the boot upper from salt and water? The boot textile looks to be a checked synthetic and leather, I'm hesitant to use a leather protection

A: Hello, The full grain leather in the upper is waterproof leather from the factory. This can be treated over time to maintain water resistance and to protect the leather. This boot also has a waterproof membrane. The TecTuff material (textile) in the upper is Leather that is impregnated with Abrasion Resistant PU for an incredibly strong surface. This does not have to be treated with leather protector.
