Low vision

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is one of a kind. It has an orange zipper which makes color discrimination possible for people with low vision. The contrast between the brown jacket and the orange zipper is perfect for people w/low vision to be independent and not ask for help zipping it up. When a zipper is the same color as the jacket it's hard to see. This did run large but when wearing layers it's fine. Love the zippers inside too. It is also machine washable which is a plus. We never purchased a Columbia jacket before but our friend who lived in Buffalo, NY said he wouldn't wear any other brand for winters that cold. He purchased all Columbia snow gear for a friend's child's high school graduation gift who was headed for Rochester for college. So I decided to try it and am glad II did.

Nice fitting coat. I am a happy camper.

From the first time I seen this coat it caught my eye. I liked it's style and the way it looked in general. As spring is settling in I will need to check it's warmth next winter but im thinking I won't be disappointed. I bought the tobacco color and plan on getting the greenscape as well. I do love a good looking coat and marks does not miss the mark.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not as warm as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not quite as warm as I expected since this coat came with a maximum warmth rating. I imagine combining it with a base layer underneath or a fleece shearling shirt would help but this coat alone with a shirt underneath is not sufficient for below freezing weather. Also, as others have pointed out the Omniheat gold lining comes out below the sleeves.

No, I do not recommend this product.

loose lining.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this back in November. It's okay but one thing that really bothers me is, when you put it on, the foil lining comes out the cuff of the sleeve! You have to put it, then before you put your left arm into the sleeve you have to pull the lining back on the inside on the coat. I noticed the arms are rather tight too. And my arms are not that big!

Good winter coat!

Really good winter coat. Very puffy and adequate thickness so you don’t feel wind or cold at all. Tested this jacket in downtown Toronto, during heavy snowfall, at around -15c and had no problem walking anywhere. The only problem with this jacket would be the sizing. It runs really large and isn’t very form fitting (which is minor since you might be layering for the weather) and the cuffs on the sleeves are way too large, and should have an elastic band sewn in to keep it tight around your wrist. As it is, the inner material of the jacket rolls out and doesn’t fit well. Again if you’re layering or wearing gloves that may not matter but I usually don’t. Outer material feels durable but time will tell…

Super warm for Minnesota winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband loves this parka. He's always cold and this is the first jacket to keep him truly warm in many years. He also appreciates the gold Omni heat tech in both look and function.

Simply an AWESOME jacket

I am really happy with this new jacket, the style and fit is really on point, just the right amount of room inside but definitely not to big. I love the pockets and the zippers feel really premium, the inside "Omni-Heat" keeps you comfy warm on the coldest of days, also the gold foil look of the inside lining, gives this jacket that ultra premium look and feel. Lastly, the jacket is surprisingly not bulky, it doesn't feel heavy or weighty, one thing i do wish was that the hood had the fur around it, I believe that would really give this jacket the maximum style upgrade. All in all, the jacket is a winner.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: How good is it in the cold, what temperature? Is it warmest category?

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your question. This Columbia Landroamer Omni‑Heat™ Infinity puffer is a very warm winter jacket, designed for cold everyday conditions. While Columbia doesn’t give a specific temperature rating, it’s generally comfortable around −10°C to −20°C (14°F to −4°F) depending on layering and wind. It’s considered maximum warmth within Columbia’s puffer jackets, but it is not their warmest overall—longer, heavier parkas are warmer for extreme cold. Hope that helps!
