Very comfortable, not water resistant at all

These shoes are very comfortable, and have great traction for light hiking. However they are advertised as being water resistant, not true! The fabric over the toes is essentially open mesh, nothing slowing down the water from soaking i to your socks at all. If the ground is damp and slippery these are probably fine, but if the ground is wet, walking through long wet grass and puddles your feet will be wet.

Great shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really happy with these shoes. I bought online my usual size but they were my first pair of Columbia shoes. Colour is nice, fit is super comfortable, no rubbing anywhere and I walk quite fast. They are a spacious width. All round I am super happy with them.

not water resistant

Very disappointed in these shoes. I purchased these shoes specifically for their "water-resistant" affect and had instantly-wet socks at literally the first rain drop wearing them for the first time. They offered zero protection from any wet environment. I realize they were advertised as only resistant but did not think, as I have owned many Columbia-brand hikers, that this would happen. I keep thinking maybe they forgot to put in the gore tex sock during manufacturing. They should not be advertised as "water resistant" unless the ones I purchased were improperly maufactured.

Great everyday or hiking shoe

I've always had a hard time walking for long periods of time because I have high arches and most shoes do not support them well. I have bought two pairs of these shoes (diff colours) because they are so comfortable. I have walked 15k plus in one day and my feet were not sore and legs only a little tired from my stamina. I wear them as everyday shoes living in a commuter city and would recommend these for daily or hiking activities.
Easy to clean and doesn't get soaked when caught in the rain. Only downside is the tops get a bit creased over time but it doesn't bother me.
