Light weight and warm

I bought this during summer sale last year and I was not sure if it will protect me against cold weather in Ottawa, since it was thin and light weighted. BUT… this jacket is magicly warm and comfortable. I had several coats for winter from different brands and I did not touch them during winter!!! I have to wash this one over and over since this was the only jacket works great. I love it and will buy one more next summer😄

Excellent coat! (Why call it a jacket?)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As others have noted, wearing this coat is like being wrapped in a sleeping bag (which means it lacks style but provides excellent warmth). I feel like a warm and contented toddler when wearing it, not a bad feeling on a cold day! I was surprised at the high level of mobility it allows, considering its comprehensive coverage. It has a roomy fit, so sizing down may be advisable. My only suggestion would be the addition of two zippered exterior chest pockets for storage of phone, keys, and small personal items. Being unencumbered is always an advantage.

Exceeded expectations

This coat deserves 10 🌟! It is absolutely everything that I wanted it to be, very warm, cuts the wind, stylish, light as a feather and fits perfectly The length keeps my legs warm, the bottom zip helps with leg movements perfectly The hood stays in place, elastic cuffs keep mittens on, inside pocket holds my phone still and keeps it warm on long walks I was hesitant to spend this much on a coat but it's worth every penny and more, I would never buy a winter coat that wasn't columbia

Really nice, but runs way bigger than size chart

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for a replacement for my old North Face jacket, which doesn't fit me well anymore and which is shorter than I'm wanting for this winter. This is the perfect high-quality replacement with all the features I want, but finding the right fit has been tricky, especially since Columbia doesn't seem to restock sizes and colors. I'm currently returning a size I bought which ended up being really large, way beyond what the size guide indicated, and I hope the one I'm trading it for fits better. This really is the perfect coat. I wish the size guide indicated when the "fit" (regular vs. fitted, etc.) affects the sizing indicated in the chart.

Amazing Jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this long jacket. It's something I was looking for a long time. I really like the fit. Generous but not bulky. I like the fabric. Water repelant but not "crusty", but malleable with movement. The stone color is even more beautiful in person. I wore it in 20*F with winshield of 10*F and I didnt feel the cold at all. Love the side vents ( easy to gen in and out of the car),but especially absolutely love the cuffs. I highly recommend this jacket. Just wonderful!

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: What is the comfort range of the jacket

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your question. Columbia doesn't typically temperature rate their products as individual comfort can vary too much. This is a lightweight insulated jacket built for comfort in cool conditions and includes waterproof-breathable protection, synthetic insulation & Columbia's Omni-Heat™ thermal-reflective lining. We like to think of our jackets as falling into the Warm - Warmer - Warmest categories and would consider this style to be "Warmest". Hope that helps!
