Converse Men's Malden Street Chuck Taylor All Star Wide Boots

I bought these because of the look and durability. They were something to wear in bad weather or somewhat mucky conditions. They do have a a solid feel, not at all like other Converse high tops. While they do have a comfortable fuzzy interior, you basically sacrifice flexibility and stability. They are quite clumpy, inflexible, and platformy. If you are prone to tripping over yourself, these might not be the best choice. They seem to be very long and maybe a half size bigger than what the size number suggests. It's good that even though they don't have a wide toe, there does seem to be decent toe room. My toes don't get squished like they do with other shoes with a narrower toe. The length does unfortunately reduce my sense of stability. These are a go too in places and weather conditions that would be less suited to sneakers that would soak through or get dirty. I wouldn't use them as regular hikers since they don't have the thick wide spaced treads. You would be picking dirt and debris out of the narrow grooves in that case, and the tread might wear out faster.

The shoes are okay but of course in true marks style they only had them online and once I bought them they went on sale 2 days later...I was told to go into the store to get the rebate and they had no idea what I was talking about.
