Fitted with Propac removable felt liners, these Dakota work boots are built to protect your feet in extreme cold environments. They feature our T-MAX® light and warm insulation. The boots meet CSA Grade 1 standards with steel toes and plates which are electric shock and puncture resistant. Stoppered drawcords in the topline help keep debris and moisture out and toughrubber outsoles provide sound footing on various surfaces.

Warm and great for working in the snow which is why I bought them. Several of my co workers wear them and recommend them. I love how easy they are to take on & off as when I drive the forklift they're too big and bulky but great for when I'm a swamper

I bought these boots just before a big snow storm that dumped 30+ cm's of snow and temps at -13 degrees Celsius. So far the boots are amazing. I work at an out door recycle yard. The boots are rated to -60 and it has yet to get that cold.
The boots are very water proof, I have been in snow up to my knees and my feet have stayed warm and dry even with regular running shoe socks on.
I need wide style work boots otherwise my feet hurt and I use orthotic insoles .... These boots are wide enough that my feet don't hurt at all. I did not even need to go up in size so they fit the same size I usually get. The boots do have a removable liner and I tried to walk in them without the liner but they are so loose and floppy on my feet that I put the liners back in.
My legs did have to get used to a boot that came up so high on my legs as I have not worn anything similar before but that is nothing against the boots. once my legs got used to it, it was fine.
I tuck my pant legs into the boot when I wear them and there is just enough room to tuck jeans into them. (I know jeans aren't the best to wear in the snow)....
The boots have a ton of grip and I am out and about a lot through out he day and haven't slipped yet.. will see once the soles wear out a bit...
I would recommend these boots for anyone that needs CSA approved work boots for winter.

Q: Being a "thermal lance technition" oversized steel cutter. I am going from knee high snow to standing in a massive puddle with metal slag piles all around me. How do these handle in massive changes of environment along with being puncture resistant?

A: Hello, The boots meet CSA requirements from a drop and puncture resistance. For heat changes the PU shell could be negatively impacted by the heat off put by the metal slag piles. Would recommend a leather boot to offset that impact.
