Breathable and rain repellent. Does not catch dirt easily. Fabric does make sound when you walk or do any movement but thats kinda given with the ususal water repellent technology. Coughs are adjustable if like it loose or tight around your wrist. More suitable for warmer weather. Above 10°C

Great Jacket! Definitely withstands abuse

This jacket withstood 3 bicycle spills without a tear and only some minor abrasions, while protecting my clothing and saving me from more serious road rash. After over 6 months of use, including 6500+km of bicycle commuting, the fourth bike spill finally did the jacket in, it still didn't technically rip, the seams on the back gave way. Im a 300 lb guy, so i cant blame the build of the jacket when i'm sliding along pavement. Waterproofness: This replaced a $400 softshell. While out of the box the previous jacket was more waterproof, its DWR coating broke down much much quicker leaving this jacket better performing in the long term. Quality: Velcro on the zipper Flap is where it loses a star. I had one velcro pad detatch a bit just from opening up the flap. The Hood also a bit too easily, but thankfully those are snaps not velcro. The quality is well above what i'd expect from this price point though. I will be re-purchasing this jacket.

My husband had his previous Dakota jacket for 12 years so it was time for a replacement. He loves this jacket and is pleased with the fit and changes . The only issue is that Mark's did not send the hood and customer service still has not responded.

It's definitely not an all day Nova Scotia proof rain slicker. But for the daily "dog walking" it might rain coat, It's suitable. I do not like the outer front pockets. I find them awkward to use. Overall, if you want a better rain jacket you'll need to spend an additional 100 bucks. Hence the 3 star rating.
