For Survey Code 770028 & 29. The issue I have is not with the staff at the store. They were fine, professional. For years I have purchased most of my casual clothing at Mark's. Every pair of jeans & belts; Outer wear, raincoats; Carhart jackets and shoes - I've walked on four different continents in shoes I bought from Mark's. In 1988 I purchased team jackets from a Mark's store and had them embroidered with our company logo and our first names. Last week time I ordered 6 polo shirts and 2 pairs of jeans online which were part of your recent sale. The jeans fit fine. None of the polo shirts fit - they were all too small. The store did not have any product they could provide me for an exchange so I had to settled for a refund, which I took. I've been wearing the same size for years. My preference was always the "drywear" polo shirts - which I still have and wear. The staff mentioned that the new collection that is coming in will have my size - 3XL tall. Something to look forward to I thought. So, then I looked thru all of the polo shirts in the store and found only 2 regular priced, newer style, 3XL shirts (about $44.99) . I tried on these shirts in the dressing room. Both of these shirts were actually SMALLER than the shirts I had just returned. How can that be? Is this the start of some kind of marketing program? Is it a scam? Is it shrinkflation? So, to start with your 2XL is now smaller than it used to be and going forward your NEW 3 XL is smaller than the new 2 XL. Really??? I just want to buy a shirt. Just go online and purchase a shirt. Simple you would think... But you guys/gals make this so hard - I don't want to have to write a thesis or walk a thousand miles to simply buy a shirt. I just don't get it. I've been wearing the same sizes for years. As I mentioned the pants fit fine/as expected. The shirt sizes seem to have gotten smaller. Like I said, I just don't get it. In the end I try to spend my money on Canadian first. But you folks are making it hard and let's face it...we're talking about shirts. How much time should I spend on buying a polo shirt just because you're Canadian when you can't seem to get it right. I purchased a casual button down shirt from Bass Pro Shops last year. Same size as always and it fits fine (although it's not a polo shirt). Maybe they have polo shirts that will fit me. Too bad I can't keep my money in Canada. UPDATE SINCE ORIGINAL SURVEY: I purchased 5 Polo shirts at Costco for $24.95 and 4 Polo shirts at Bass Pro Shop for $26.99. Thank you MARK'S for pushing me out of your store to ultimately find 2 better deals. Isn't this how Hudson's Bay Company became extinct?
