Useful and good value when purchased on clearance.

Generous fit, I sized up to wear over bulky clothing but wish I hadn't. The pockets aren't huge but they're big enough to hold my phone, keys, and gloves.
Cinching elastics at waist and on hood are very useful but they're also quite long and would benefit from some sort of storage solution to tuck them away.
I haven't washed it yet but it seems sturdy.
Not a "packable" design but does pack down better than most.

The coat I’ve waiting for!

This coat reminds me of the Marks of yesteryear…the innovative and high quality Marks! Years ago I bought a winter coat from Marks - the colour was brown (meh) but it was so light and puffy and warm. The best part was the knitted standup collar, it kept the Alberta winter wind at bay. I have been waiting for about 8 years and they’ve finally come out with another winner! The knit collar is back , it could be a bit less stiff but that’ll likely happen after a few washes. I’m not usually a fan of super long coats but this one manages to avoid looking too much like a sleeping bag and is actually kind of fancy! Love it!

This is my new "warmer weather" parka. Not for -40 but good for -5 to -20. I love the knit cuffs and collar. They're very cozy and keep the drafts out.
