Modeled on the brand's original coats for working dogs, this one is made of firm-hand duck canvas with a water-repellent coating. It has a quilted liner for additional warmth. The durable dog coat is easy to get on and off using the tabs at the neck and chest.

This is a great coat for our four-legged family member. He is a German Shepherd X - we got him an XL which is a bit too wide in the body for him but perfect in the length so we are happy to have gone with the larger size so it gives him good coverage.

I love my new coat! When mom and dad take me for walks I stay warm and and reasonably dry and clean because I like to roll around in the wet grass. I'm a little on the big so mom really likes the coat because it covers my whole body. P.S. It also looks pretty good on.

Wow! I never knew Carhartt made jackets for dogs, but boy, am I impressed! It is the most high quality coat I have ever come across for my dog. It makes him look so stylish with the iconic Carhartt patch, and the little collar! We get many compliments when walking around with it on. Highly recommend!

We originally bought this jacket a year ago for our beagle. With Carhartt being a trusted brand we didn’t hesitate. Best purchase we made! Kept the dog toasty warm out on the lake ice fishing to the point he preferred playing outside of the hut because he would get too warm with the coat on and a heater on in the ice hut. He literally wore it all the time. We have since purchased a second one as his Christmas present since he’s worn out the Velcro on the chest portion of the first coat. He’s still wearing the first coat as of right now.

Q: Does it have access to harness for the leash on the back?

A: Thank you for reaching out. There is plenty of room at the neck to attach a leash to a collar as the coat does not go right up close to the neck. There is not an access point for a harness down the back of the coat.
