Q: Is it good to keep you warm at -20 C?

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question. The Helly Hansen Men’s Crew Insulator Jacket is designed as a lightweight, mid‑insulation jacket, and on its own it is not intended to keep you warm at −20 °C. It uses PrimaLoft® synthetic insulation, which provides good warmth for cool to cold conditions and is ideal for activities like sailing, commuting, or everyday wear in milder winter temperatures, but it is not a deep‑cold winter parka. In temperatures around −20 °C, this jacket would work best as a layering piece—for example, worn over a thermal base layer and fleece, and possibly under a heavier, windproof outer shell. For standing still or prolonged exposure at −20 °C, a heavier insulated jacket specifically rated for extreme cold would be more appropriate. Hope that helps.
