Inspired by the brand's 1950s fisherman's raincoat, Helly Hansen created this 100% waterproof, retro-style rain jacket. You'll stay dry while looking good. The back of the coat has a vented yoke which is breathable as well as windproof.

Actual waterproof jackets will make you sweat

I bought this jacket when it was on sale last year and it has been the best rain jacket I've ever had. I never get soaked from the rain. I've taken it to multiple countries. Never had any issues. Anyone who complains about it, THIS is an actual waterproof jacket. They do not breath and if it is warm out, you will sweat. They are designed to stop rain from getting in, that's it. If you want something breathable, rain will eventually seep in. If you get wet from the rain while wearing this jacket it's a faulty unit.

The fitted sleeves do not allow for a warm sweater under the raincoat.
A raglan sleeve accommodates a sweater much better.
