These men’s safety hikers feature tough uppers made of abrasion-resistant mesh with welded TPU overlays and rubber toe bumpers. Outsoles are designed to improve traction in wet conditions. These safety boots replaced the identical pair purchased exactly 3-years ago.
Since then, they have been my "daily drivers" offering light weight, flexibility in the sole, and a breathable fabric upper.
Unfortunately, the fabric is not as durable as a safety boot with traditional leather uppers, and has split open and ripped on the left boot and is visibly worn on the right boot.
The soles still have useable grip and the original heavy-duty laces appear indestructible (the extra pair of matching laces supplied in the original May, 2023 purchase are still unused.)
The safety footwear designers at Helly Hanson may wish to focus on Continuous Improvement to increase the longevity of the fabric upper without compromising all of the other favourable attributes.

Best work boot I ever owned

Not sure what is with all the negitive reviews. I had these 3 years working outdoors and they are a dream to wear. In and out of ditches and construction areas they never gave out. Comfort and breathability can not be beat.

Lasted a little over a year. Horrible boots. 0 cushion and wear out fast. Tread pattern wasn’t very tall from new so after only a few months they became worn down quickly from walking on concrete all day makeing knees sore
