I like the feel, not the fit

I bought these as they had high reviews, but they're not for me. I am short, and these underwear are very high rise on me. I don't, personally, feel the need to tuck my underpants under by bra. Also, the elastic bands on the leg holes are too tight.. it feels a bit like putting on a swimsuit. The fabric feels quite nice - smooth and sheer. If they were designed differently, I would like them. I would prefer a shorter rise (belly button or so), wider band at the waist, and less of a vice grip on my upper thighs.
