From Kodiak, the women's Journey hiker-style work boots are made of waterproof leather, protected with molded TPU heel guards and rubber toe guards. Fitted with composite toes and plates, they are electric shock resistant as well as puncture resistant. Designed for winter outdoor work, the boots have lightweight Thinsulate™ insulation. EVA midsoles add support and Kodiak® Ultimate rubber outsoles are slip and oil resistant. CSA-compliant safety features include composite toes and plates, electric shock resistance and puncture resistance.

Not waterproof/water-resistant

[Employee of marks] These boots got completely wet on the inside from the morning dew within 5 minutes. Not even close to water-resistant or waterproof. Walked on the wet grass in these and had wet feet for the whole day.

Do not fit as hoped.

The heel space is too far back, resulting in the foot being forced forward creating a short boot when the laces are tied. Does not suit my foot structure. Returned as even the next size up was still too small. I wear a size 8 and went up to a size 9.

I looove theses boots , I just got them for my gardening DEP, and it's very comfortable. I am still waiting to see if they are waterproof but aren't rubber boots so how high should one expectation be?

These boots are light and comfortable for a safety boot, but they are not waterproof as advertised. Even after conditioning the leather my feet were soaked after a morning of walking through wet vegetation. The tongue portion must let the water in as it not leather. I'm a biologist who has to wear safety boots at work. A boot that is not waterproof is practically useless to me for work in the bush. Disappointed.

Not so waterproof

The construction and fit of these boots it’s nice. But I bought them because they were supposed to be waterproof. They are not. The tongue of the boot is made of mesh that soaks through almost immediately. I assume it’s for breathability, but that hardly matters when your feet have drowned. After walking in dewy grass for five minutes, my socks were wet.
