Looking to buy a fourth!

I have bought the yellow raincoat three times in the past. The first (size small) was worn out after several years and then I decided to buy an XS as the S is roomy (5'2" 116 lb). The XS is fine if I have light clothing underneath but it does restrict movement somewhat so bought another in size small. This coat is lined and so is a bit too warm in the summer but it is great for fall and spring. I wish they made it with lighter lining for hot weather. The outer fabric may stain. You can wipe it off with a damp cloth but washing it in a machine degrades the surface of the coat. Even though it does not pack small, it has traveled with me to many countries. It has kept me dry even in heavier rains, except for one time when I was forced to walk two kilometres in a cloudburst! It is very hard to find raincoats that keep a person dry. Most are water resistant not waterproof. Several people have stopped me to tell me that they like this coat. Over all, I love this raincoat!

Q: Should a Thermal-Slicks jacket by MTC be hand washed or dry-cleaned. There is no tag stitched in and I'm afraid the paper tag is long gone. Thank you for providing this service.

A: Thank you for your question. The MTC Women's Rain Slicker, style 212-C, has the following care instructions. Hand wash in cold water, do not bleach, hang to dry and do not iron. This garment should not be machine washed or dried and should not be dry cleaned.
