Merrel Men's Jungle Moc Nubuck Shoes

My husband loves these shoes. This is like the 5th pair we have purchased. He wears them every day to the office/factory/church. He says they are comfortable and look smart with jeans or khaki.

J’adore mes Jungle Moc (en cuir pas ceux en suède). Ce sont mes 4e. Ils sont confortables faciles à enfiler et en plus je les trouve beau. 🙂

These were intended to be a bit dressier than gym shoes. I guess they are, but they are not comfortable. The tongue area is so tight, when putting the shoe on it causes my sock to bunch up in that area. Also the ankle collar extends too high and rubs my ankle bones. I expected better from Merrell.

I have been wearing Merrell Jungle Mocs for 12 years. Every time I have stepped into them, my whole body relaxed. NOT ANYMORE...!!! They changed the arch support effective illiminating it. I've just purchased two new pair and they are both awful. I will change to another brand. Merrell's are crappy shoes now. Congratulations corporate geniuses. The least you could have done is put a note on your website informing us faithful customers of the change. Four thumbs down....

I started wearing the Merrell Jungle Mock Nubuck about 15 years ago. I had a sports related injury which started affecting my knee and hip along with my balance and ambulation. Bending over to tie my shoes was really difficult and I set out to find some quality Moccasins or Deck Shoes. I was in my early 50's then and searched for a while only to be frustrated and finding overpriced sports shoes endorsed by athletes made out of horrible material. Long story short I found this wonderful shoe. I'm 67 now and still have balance issues plus old age. I could not imagine my day...my life, without this Shoe. A pair usually lasts me 3 years (and that's just because the soles wear unevenly due to my weird stride) granted, I don't run in them or walk a lot more than a 1/4 mile or so per day, BUT I wear them for every occasion. Work, sitting, walking, shopping, out to eat, friends and family outings. Everywhere. They always look new. Elegant. I brush them occasionally. Impervious to rain. Warm in cold weather. Cool and dry in hot weather. After a week or two of break-in they literally feel like a glove, yet supportive. Not too firm. Not too soft. Just right! With socks or without. My feet rarely ache after wearing them for 10 hours plus every weekday and at least 4 or 5 hours on weekends. I know it sounds too good to be true but they are a quality product and I hope and pray they never stop making them or change them in any way. Thank you Merrell for being one of those Companies, that in my life, has become synonymous with top notch first class quality.
