Love, love, love these boots. The first pair I had was fantastic while I was on patrol. I got in to all kinds of stuff and I finally made myself buy these after three years with the other ones. These are even better very comfy, love the leather toe. I can wipe them off easily or shine them if I need to. Just buy them! Oh and I’m a female who wears a 5.5 in means of any women are unsure about these.

Best Boots for Everyday and Work

These are my favourite pair of boots for everyday walking and travelling. They're light and durable enough for long walks in urban areas and hiking.
My pair of boots have lasted since October with at least 10 km of walking per day and still are in great condition after hiking up a mountain In Seoul yesterday.

Romp with aplomb!

I typically get about 4000km off road out of a pair Moab 2's before catastrophic failure. These are my first pair of "tacticals", and I am expecting good things from them. I find that they are fully broken in in 160 km or less, but you CAN go full roar with 'em fresh outta the box on a typical 20km+ day hike without feeling like you've ground your feet down to stumps; a few small hot spots is par for the course. But by 160k, you'll forget you're wearing them. Although the grip is tenacious and confidence inspiring for all but the the most absurd bipedal nonsense, waterproofness will quickly wane beyond the aforementioned 160km. Not a deal breaker tho--- that's what gore-tex socks are for! YMMV.
On the fence about these? Get 'em. They ROCK!

Comfortable and durable. Been wearing for about a month now and they show almost no signs of wear. I wish they breathed a bit better. My feet can feel a little damp with sweat sometimes. I guess that’s a trade off with something that’s waterproof.

Very high and intrusive arch

This boot has a very high and intrusive arch. If your feet do not have a high arch, these boots can be painful. I have to return my pair.

I pretty much only where Merrell shoes due to a narrow heel. There are great and comfortable boot, even by Merrell outstanding standards.
