A VERY comfortable work boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite boots were the Timberland Chocorua. Apparently they are discontinued and I've searched and searched for a replacement. I tried Danner, Keen, different Timberland models, and a couple others but either the tongue was so hard it hurt, or the boot was too mushy or they were not cushioned enough in the sole/insole. These boots are the closest to the Chocorua I have found. They break in quickly, are sturdy where you want sturdy and soft where you want soft. The insole is excellent and I can wear these all day, working hard in the woods or garage and they just keep feeling great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not as comfortable as I thought it would be, I am on my feet all day on concrete, not enough cushioning in my opinion. The material inside staines my socks orange you will be buying new socks. I wear white cotton socks.

This is a premier work boot with horrendous workmanship. I bought this as go to, somewhat lightweight option that can do well in Canadian winters too. I paid almost $C250. I picked this shoe amongst 10+ I tried in the store.
What’s good? Looks good.
What’s bad? Plenty. It is heavy for day to day use, the laces start to show lots of wear within first few wears.
The biggest issue is it’s a safety hazard for cold climate. I’ve slipped in this more times than a simple Nike runner or $25 clearance boot from the store. I’ve thrown my back out twice in first 10 wears simply trying to catch myself before I break a bone or bust my head.
It’s criminal that a company can put steel toe, a buy brand and slap it on a shelf.
And shame on Mark’s for actually putting this product on their shelf.

Good boot, EXCEPT for Winter.

Recently purchased a pair and they fit comfortably, have a good layer of insulation and after oiling, were great against water. However, as soon as a bit of snow was on the ground, you have zero traction, despite the slip-resistant claim.
Seeing how a typical Canadian sees 5 months of the year with snow, I would advise against purchasing these unless you plan to use them strictly indoors.
