With all the heat we had this summer, I should have bought 2 so I could swap between them on alternate days.
I work out in the community each day, often in non-air conditioned locations. This necker helps a great deal.

2 days and the beads are still expanded… what am I supposed to do with it when not using? I thought they would go back down after. It’s just ok

Better Than Nothing

Not too bad but not as good as the original Australian ‘cobbers’. Those were all in one piece whereas these are divided into 4 sections. Also, those didn’t have such long ties so they had a greater cooling area.

I had high hopes for this!

Bought this to try at work. Work in a hot factory. I kept it in cold water for 15 mins as per instructions. It says would stay cold for hours - 24 hours I believe. Nope, not even 30 mins and it wasn’t even cold anymore. So disappointed.

Skimpy, flat: should swell up to round

This is a cheap knock-off of the original design. There should be no external seam: it must be sewn so the seam is inside. There should be plenty of crystals, so that when you soak it, it swells up to sausage shape. Then, when the side against your skin warms up, you rotate it around the long axis so that a new, cool side touches you. This design interferes with proper use. That's why people are complaining.
The seams across it make it flatter and interfere with it touching your skin., making it even worse. The crystals would distribute themselves evenly without extra seams.
I guess I'll have to dig out my old one.

There is absolutely no cooling effect other than what putting a wet scarf around your neck would do. Total waste of money!

24hours after first soak and still active.

Well it’s been over 24 hours and the beads are still cold. I’m actually trying to let it dry and it retains the moisture for a long time and continuously works.
It’s a bit thick when the beads have been soaked but with the time of retention it’s a small price to pay.
