Well although I haven't tried my new boots in the snow yet I would like to comment on my shopping experience. I returned boots that I bought online that didn't fit my feet. I need wide sizes and the boots I bought, although were stated "wide fit", were not comfortable. The manager led me back to the shoes and proceeded to bring me boots that she thought should fit. On the second try we seem to have a winner. She also brought me several others to compare. I appreciated the time she gave me to find my fit. Very friendly and helpful. Also she had a trainee at the till and showed patience with her as well.. Good job. I will review the boots at a later date.

Worst shoe I have ever bought. This shoe is supposed to be size 9 extra wide. I think it is labelled wrong. It’s actually extra narrow. I put them on and walked around the house for 5 minutes hoping they would stretch. It was torture. I had to get them off. My feet hurt for hours after just 5 minutes of wearing. I knew immediately they were going to be returned. I noticed some reviewers saying to buy a size up. No. I have never had to do that with any shoe, and I’m not about to start. Do not buy this shoe.

Fantastic boots but not Wide

I own a pair of hiking shoes of the same brand/make & they are comfortable, well built & sturdy. I was excited to see high hiking boots of the same brand but my excitment was short lived. The boots have a tag claiming they are "wide" but to the contrary, they are narrow & too tight due to, I guess, the added insulation.

- A: Thanks for reaching out. This boots does have our Tarantula anti-slip outsole which reduces the likely hood that you will slip and fall on a wet surface. TARANTULA ANTISLIP® outsoles, push liquids to the outside using unique micro channels, instead of keeping liquids underfoot. However, if you are looking for a boot that will keep you safer while walking on snow or ice, I suggest you look into our ICEFX® assortment. ICEFX® has an innovative tread design to provide greater surface contact in the heel strike zone and forefoot to achieve an anti-slip outsole. The outsole also uses a softer, more flexible rubber compound that does not harden in the cold and incorporates gripping pods to provide enhanced traction. ICEFX® may also utilize other compounds or materials in the outsole to help achieve slip resistance on ice.3 years agoHelpful?
