I have worn this hat during outdoor activities for just over a week. We have very high numbers of mosquitoes, blackflies and ticks this spring. The hat worked well. No bites from the waist up when coupled with the long sleeved work shirt. I have a 7 5/8" block and the L/XL fits well.

This hat was impregnated with an insecticide called permethrin. I researched it and discovered that there is some evidence that permethrin might be a hormone disruptor. I also discovered that permethrin was found in the urine of people who wore permethrin-treated clothing. I returned the hat for a refund.
