At first I bought two of the WindRiver Hiking pants but then liked them so much that I bought two more. They are light weight and have a pleasant feel on the skin. I cannot vouch for them being water proof or repellent but they are fast drying after I wash them, and that's what they promise. I ordered the pants in size 8, 30 inches, and find that they fit me perfectly. I particularly appreciate the four pockets, all secured with zippers. This new generation of Women's Hyperdrive Hiking Pants is improved from previous years in fit, fabric and quality. They are flexible in as far that they are easily transformed from long pants into short capri-style ones. Altogether great outdoor pants that look good in most kinds of settings.

Q: Will the zippered pockets hold a cell phone? How much stretch is there to these pants - I am looking for super comfortable pants with lots of deep pockets for travel, esp on planes.

A: Hello, Thank you for your question! Yes the zippered pockets are generous and large enough to hold a standard sized cell phone. (example Apple iPhone 12). These pants are super comfortable as they are made with a 4 way stretch fabric. Sounds like they would be the perfect pant for your travels!
