Sizing way off

Ordered size 9month for my nephews 5month old and it's so small. Carhartt's sizing for kids is so far off!! More sized for baby doll than real child. I love Carhartt, but they definitely missed the mark on child sizing. Had to return unfortunately. Will not order again for a child wouldn't even know what size to get at this point!?!! Disappointing
