Color is true to what they show, insulation is warm but vest is not heavy like some of the jackets they make. My first Carhartt vest like this one was from a friend of my wife, her friends husband had died. He & I wore the same size. I have wore it for years more now & it's still fine but I've been using it for work around our farm so I decided to get the same one to use solely to go out in. Carhartt is one of the only companies that still makes quality clothing. I wore it to church this past Sunday & several men complimented me on my new vest. The only negative is it's very stiff when new. My friends at church said wash it a few times and it will be perfect like my old one. :-) I wish they made jeans! Jeans today are made of tissue paper, originally they were made of a canvas tent type material.

Bought this for my husband, in black, and it looks and fits him perfectly. He already has the tan one and loves it! I would recommend this for anyone who wants to look as handsome as him.. :)
