Decent, a couple of details not so good.

Warmer than my old coat. Seems quite well made, zipper seems fairly robust. Chafes under the chin when zipper is fully up. Hood is way too loose even after max adjustment. Decent value on sale but I wouldn't pay full price.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    A Good Light Weight Parka

Has all popular cold weather features such as sleeve cuffs, adjustable hood, inner and outer wind flaps on the zipper and a cinch up string for the bottom of the coat. I would rate this good to -10C without wind chill. About 0C with wind chill as a walking coat, colder if wearer is working outside. Great wind resistance. Well made, looks good and ultra light. A great, thin carcoat. Only drawbacks are that the metallic radiant heat layer can be too cool in very cold to extreme conditions, the lighter weight front zipper doesn't seem rugged and it only has one upper outer pocket for handy items like a phone. The hood is oversize which is great for a rainy, snowy, windy day but big for other situations. However, at the back of the hood is a handy velcro hood adjuster. A nicecoat for the right applications. Fits loosely so a sweater can be used.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Does this coat have a cheap plastic zipper or is it a durable metal zipper?

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question. The zipper for this style is a coil plastic zipper with a metal zipper head. The advantage of coil zippers is that they are more flexible and lightweight. Hope that helps.

    • A: Thank you for your question. We don't typically temperature rate their products as individual comfort can vary too much. We like to think of our jackets as falling into the Warm - Warmer - Warmest categories and would consider the following styles to fall into the category of "Warmer".
