On days when Mother Nature is smiling, you can detach the hood and enjoy the warmer weather. This jacket will keep you comfortable to a windchill factor of -30°C. Our unique testing method factors in the effect that windchill can have on your comfort level outdoors, and assumes a low to moderate activity level. Individual comfort level may vary depending on your layering system, duration outdoors, and your metabolic rate.

I have a Wind River winter jacket that has to be at least 15 years old or more. All that's wrong is the zipper needs to be replaced. While I'm waiting for a friend to fix it for me, I decided to treat myself and purchase this jacket because of the -30 rating, outstanding price and knowing I can trust the quality of Mark's clothing. Bought the large size first but decided it was too big so I now have the medium. Absolutely love the warmth, fit and feel. Only need to wear a t-shirt inside when going for a walk. I highly recommend!!

Affordable, warm and stylish!

I bought this coat near the end of the season last year and I'm extremely pleased. This coat actually replaced an Eddie Bauer winter coat that cost almost twice as much and I prefer this Denver Hayes parka more. I bought the Charcoal colour and it looks terrific and the coat itself is very warm and stylish. The only caveat I have is that it doesn't have a double zipper but at this price point that's acceptable. A really great value!

For my son, appears warm, not too bulky, lightweight, pockets zip and lined, fits slightly large which is perfect for layering, removable hood, states good for -30, haven't had the opportunity to test yet this season
