Honestly if it were not for the minimalist branding on these sandals you would never know them from a pair of Birks. The quality is definitely on par, excellent. I have owned a pair of Birks so... I purchased the tan 3 summers ago now and they are still my go to but now I have the black, dynamic duo. You won't be disappointed in this purchase! Well done Far West/Mark's.

I have the brown version of this and used it for a few years. I do prefer the colors of the brown model but bought these to match other clothes that I have.
They're very solid and well made. The leather actually feels like leather, the suede footbed (insole area) absorbs moisture and dissipates it so it's awesome after a shower or walking outside. I compared them to the famous Birkenstock at another store and the Birkenstock ones feel so cheap compared to these and they're twice the price of these. I can't believe they claim that the Birkenstock ones use real leather. Felt fake to me. These feel and are real and have a leather smell.
As for comfort, these are pretty good. The only thing is I wish they would increase to width of the heel area by about 2 to 4 mm. They're slightly too narrow. I still love these though.
They look and function great.
