Warm, waterproof, love the 3 zippered pockets, beautiful hickory colour. Size M was a bit tight in the shoulders, so I bought size L, which is a bit big around the middle, but it will allow for a bulky sweater on very cold days. I am very happy with this purchase.

HH second coat is a winner

Perfect for cool, wet, windy weather, especially when dog walking. The length is good for my 5'6" size. Wrist cuffs keep the wind out but a bit snug if trying to check your watch. The hood sits long on my head so it is great with a beanie hat/ baseball cap. Love the two way zipper at the bottom so when sitting/ driving it is more comfortable. Upper inside zipper pocket fits my 5 1/2"x 2 1/2"phone well. Lined pockets are a nice touch. Yes I recommend! This is my second HH purchase, my other lighter raincoat is still excellent!

Best coat in my closet!

I absolutely love this coat. Every time I wear it, I come home and say to whoever is there..."Have I mentioned how much I love this coat!" It is everything it promises. I wanted a new jacket for walking my dog. It keeps me warm and dry in any weather (haven't yet tried in full on winter). And is really windproof.

That being said this should not be considered a true rating as individual circumstances & comfort varies. As per Helly Hansen's comment we would consider this "A perfect piece for the seasonal transitions." and layering can assist for different temperature & comfort requirements. Hope that helps!

Q: Would this jacket be suitable for travel in the Spring to Europe? Is it considered packable or would it be better to wear it in order to decrease luggage weight and bulk?

We know that the variety of weather temperatures can feel very different to each person, however, when thinking of jackets falling into a "warm-warmer-warmest" category vs. assigning specific temperature ratings which can be subjective, we would classify this style as "warmer", so although it will be great for the UK and Northern Europe regions, it may be too warm for the south. Q: What is primaloft insulation? Is it felt? quilted ? Jersey? Polyester? Is this insulation in the sleeves of coat as well?

A: Thank you for inquiring about the Helly Hansen Aden insulated long rain jacket. That's a great question. Please note, the Primaloft insulation is 100% polyester. The lining on the interior of the jacket is quilted. Yes, it has insulation in the arms but it’s about 50% lighter than in the body to reduce bulk. Thanks
