I like having wool shirts for next to skin layering and for shirts in general. Polyester, nylon and other synthetics just do not do well in the stink department. I have had Icebreaker shirts before and they hold up relatively better than some other brands of wool shirts. The 200 and 260 is a perfect layer under a wool shirt or sweater and also by itself for spring and fall days. It wicks well and even when it gets damp, I still feel warm. It dries fast and I can wear it all day whether hiking, hunting, backpacking ordoing chores and it does not stink. I will be buying more as I phase out my synthetics.

Looking for a shirt that can be worn as a shirt or a base layer, this is the one. I own quite a few of other merino shirts and the problem that I run into is that they don’t always come out of the washer the same way they went in, I have not that problem with this shirt. One thing I don’t love is at if you hang them on a hanger the ends of the hanger stretch out the shoulders out so you have little bumps in the middle of your shoulders, but I have not found merino that does not do this.

I use this base layer for colder days skiing and steelhead fishing in the Great Lakes Region. I pair it with a fleece mid layer and then an insulated outer layer and I’ve never been warmer while fishing in the winter. This is one of my first pieces of merino base layers and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to polyester. I do recommend hang drying merino wool after washing. It will definitely shrink if dried with heat.

I've had this shirt for 5 years now and wear it as my base layer while doing field work in NW Wisconsin. Stitching is solid. The shirt doesn't stink. It wicks away sweat well and performs great in my work where I alternate from exertion (hiking to monitoring plots) to low levels of activity.

These are fantastic baselayers and they regulate temperature extremely well. The fit is also nice for wearing as a main shirt and doesn't look like a baselayer. I would highly recommend these shirts. I usually wear them on days that range from 20 degrees F to 40 degrees F and they keep me plenty warm with just a midlayer on top. I purchased 2 of them because I liked them so much and also bought their leggings.
