Never noticed anything about these being five-button instead of a zipper fly. The holes are a bit stiff; my hubs is thinking they'll loosen up in time. Otherwise they are a trim fit through the hips for an older guy like him--no baggy butt--yay!
No, I do not recommend this product.

These seem to run bigger than the old 501's that I've bought over the years. Not much shrinkage, even after washing in hot water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fabric is excellent, the construction and fit are as well. The button fly takes some getting used to if you’re new to it which I am. I bought these for gardening and other outdoor activity. A good choice. They seem durable.

Beware of Delivery

These were exactly as expected but the delivery was abysmal. Almost 2 weeks to travel from Calgary to Vancouver Island. I will never use the web order again.

Q: I am wearing a size 36 and they are a bit big. I have lost weight and now think I should be wearing a 34, but the chart says I should be wearing a 36. Has the sizing/fit changed? Are they fitting smaller than they used to?

- A: Thank you for your question. Many factors impact the fit of a jean, for example stretch in fabric, high/mid-rise and style. Our size charts are based on a general average measurement. If your current size 36 jean fits a little larger on you, the 34" waist is the next recommended size…especially if the fit is a looser fit (athletic, relaxed taper, straight).3 years agoHelpful?

- A: Thank you for your comments/ question. Please note that all of our Levi's 501 jeans have a button fly opening. If you like this wash and the same 100% cotton fabric of this jean (but prefer a zip front), I recommend our Levi's 505 or 516 in stonewash (style numbers below). 50516-4891 50505-48913 years agoHelpful?
