Bought 2 pairs of these Merrells within 7 days, discovered they went on a further discount when i bought the 2nd pair for my daughter. Her order arrived wrong, 1 side size 7, the other size 11.
Yes, we, I had to make multiple trips to resolve the shoe size snafu.
Clerk didn't want to honour the recent discounted price for my days earlier purchase.
Not impressed by the Marine Drive store.

Great for flat narrow feet and overpronation!

I have flat narrow feet and need support for overpronation. I read different reviews of hiking shoes carefully before making a purchase, and the positive reviews of the Alverstone encouraged me to try it. The shoes are comfortable right out of the box! The grip on the soles is strong, and the toe box is spacious enough for when I would like to wear thick socks. For reference, I am a US size 6 in Brooks footwear and ordered the 6.5 Alverstone. Mark's, please, please, please restock the 6.5 — I would like to get another pair or two.

Fantastic shoes

Great pair of shoes, I use them for walking and hiking, this is the first pair of shoes I didn't have to "break in". They just fit immediately from the start. They run slightly small so if you're 8.5 get a 9. Love them so much I got my mom the same pair and when mine fade out I'll be trying to get another pair.

These shoes are great for walkers. They provide good support and maintain their shape over time. This purchase is a replacement for a two year old pair that are now worn down at the heals after walking at least 5 km daily 8-9 months of the year.

Q: How are these in actual hiking situations for dirt control in the shoe? Would seem mesh would let a lot of dust/dirt in the shoe.
