Hiked 8 km first day I wore them, and again the 2nd day. Felt more comfortable than my broken-in hikers right from the start. And I appreciate the classic good looks of the design. (Haven't had the opportunity yet to hike in the rain with them to test their waterproof capability.)

All weather boots

These are good all weather boots. Like a previous reviewer I found they fit slightly bigger so I took advantage of this and am able to wear heavier socks in the winter on long hikes and lighter regular socks in the spring and fall. In real life these boots are black with purple highlights in the lacing area (they appear dark brown in the images provided by Mark's on various media devices). I waited to purchase them on sale so it was a good deal for boots that I can wear year round.
