Fits much smaller than appears & fabric is weird

I’d purchased what I thought was the same style as before but it wasn’t the same fit nor the same fabric. The previous fit was very small so I bought an XL hoping for a bit of leeway but there was no difference. Moreover the fabric is not as nice as before; it’s ribbed and has an itchy scratchy feel no matter how much I wash it.
No, I do not recommend this product.
