Loose fit isn't loose

I need a loose fitting , high inseam, comfortable pair of jeans. I have ALS and and need assistance to dress me whole I'm lying down. I purposely bought this "loose fit" pair with 36" waist (instead of my regular 34") to make it as easy as possible to get on. They fit smaller than my 34" jeans. Very disappointed.
