Q: Over time, with a lot of wear, does it require any DWR treatment ? (like Goretex) If you use backpacks or shoulder bags, would the interior laminate to the underside, also rub away, thus losing the waterproofing?

A: This WindRiver Women's HD3 Downpour Rain Jacket uses a 2-layer fabric construction with a waterproof & breathable membrane laminated to the backside of the shell fabric. The shell fabric should help protect the membrane from outside abrasion, including from a backpack, and the mesh lining will help protect the inside of the membrane. The shell fabric is treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to help prevent it from getting wet. It is important to wash the jacket regularly to keep it clean and maintain the DWR performance. You can also tumble dry it on a low setting to help restore its functionality. However, over time, you may need to renew the DWR using a wash-in or spray-on application.

Q: I purchased this Downpour 2L jacket in black. The tag features list included adjustable waist draw cord. I can’t find it. Could someone show me where to look?
