I haven't worn this jacket yet, though it is supposed to rain this week. I love the length of it, so many others are shorter and drip down on your backside!. I can tell that this is a high quality rain coat and, knowing the brand and the fact that Mark's is selling it, I trust that it will actually be waterproof whereas some others that claim to be are not. The material feels nice as well. I purchased mine in the "Stone" colour. It was true to size, as I purposely bought it in a larger size to be able to layer underneath it.

Great jacket! Long enough to cover my bum and keep me dry. Also love the air vents to keep cool. Wish the hood was a bit bigger as it didn’t fully shield my face from the rain when I had my hair in a bun taking up more space but that’s not enough to take a star off considering how great the coat is. I got the stone colour and it matches with everything

Q: Over time, with a lot of wear, does it require any DWR treatment ? (like Goretex) If you use backpacks or shoulder bags, would the interior laminate to the underside, also rub away, thus losing the waterproofing?

A: This WindRiver Women's HD3 Downpour Rain Jacket uses a 2-layer fabric construction with a waterproof & breathable membrane laminated to the backside of the shell fabric. The shell fabric should help protect the membrane from outside abrasion, including from a backpack, and the mesh lining will help protect the inside of the membrane. The shell fabric is treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to help prevent it from getting wet. It is important to wash the jacket regularly to keep it clean and maintain the DWR performance. You can also tumble dry it on a low setting to help restore its functionality. However, over time, you may need to renew the DWR using a wash-in or spray-on application.
