Bit stiff/crinkly but good

I literally just got this jacket so I cannot remark on long-term durability or water resistance. The things I want to mention, I am 5 foot 11 and 178 lbs with athletic build. Based on sizing reviews I bought a medium and it fits quite well in every respect. It was pouring rain today (St. John's Newfoundland) and it did a very good job of repelling all water. I hope this keeps up over time. I was a little disappointed with the stiffness/thickness of the polyester dobby. This is more my mistake as I wanted another nylon/lined rain jacket like my old Lowe Alpine coat but mistakenly ordered this coat. This fabric is definitely stiffer and crinkly. I hope it might relax a bit in time. Also, I ordered Collegiate Navy. This color is good but I hoped it would be a little darker as it appears on the website. But over all I like the coat. Not a light weight packable backpacking/hiking coat but very good for most everything else … good for perhaps easy hikes in pouring rain.
