Needed a barn jacket and this Helly Hanson is perfect for a first layer. Fits well and feels good . Seems well made and tough enough to do the job

Nice brand name but just an average jacket

I’ve tried A LOT of different brands of this type of jacket. So far Hugo Boss is my favourite - on sale at a good price, nice looking and fit according to the indicated size (tried a different colour in medium but couldn’t find my size in black so I settled on Eddie Bauer - on sale at a VG price but really no better. I would never buy this type of jacket at full price - most of them, including this one, seem over priced for what you get. This one was no better or worse than average. All of the jackets I own are size medium so I ordered the HH in size medium but it was too small so I sent it back. I didn’t bother with the large assuming it would be too large and too long in the sleeves. I gave this a 4/5 because it was just an average jacket and was too small to be a medium. I could have just as easily given it a 3/5 but so many of the other brand names don’t do a great job for the price they charge. I would still buy the Matt Black Hugo Boss if I found my size.
